Providing sustainability education in schools

EnviroCampus - Waste Education in Melbourne's West

A mentored whole school sustainable operations and learning framework.

Students operating compost binCombining face-to-face professional development with fully mentored comprehensive online education and resources, EnviroCampus provides a whole school sustainable operations and learning framework with a focus on waste education.

Seven schools in metropolitan Melbourne are enjoying the chance to halve their waste and save up to $3000 a year in Gould League’s new EnviroCampus - Waste Education in Melbourne's West project funded through the Environmental Planning Authority’s Alternative Penalties project.

EnviroCampus is a fully mentored, 12-month school program focusing on waste management. Schools participating in the current Waste Education in Melbourne's West project are receiving teacher professional development, student and teacher access to online curriculum, resources, tools and activities, networking with other schools and technical support.
