Green Christmas @ Fed Square

Between December 4th and 14th 2006, schools across Victoria participated in Gould Leagues' Green Christmas@Fed Square, featuring school choirs and bands performing on the main stage, a live webcast, daily visits from Green Santa, and a variety of activities and messages focused on the environment, health and wellbeing.

What a celebration!
Fifty-six performing schools from rural and metropolitan Victoria, plus more visiting to join in the daily activities, thoroughly supported by proud families and friends, all broadcast over the world wide web.

The impressive performances featured choirs large and small, orchestras, instrumental groups, colourful costumes and choreography. Schools blended traditional Christmas songs with original environmental compositions and Green Christmas messages to create a magical seven day carnival of festive music and fun.

Winning a water tank
Water saving tips from Year 3 student, Chelsea, won Berwick Primary School an amazing 13,500 litre water tank courtesy of Mitre 10, Nylex Water Solutions and Rain Harvesting.

A big thank you to our our Activity Partners for providing some fabulous activities for the thousands of children who will be performing at Green Christmas @ Federation Square during the first two weeks of December.
