Education Coordinator
Gould League has experienced exponential growth in the demand for our school and community excursion and outreach programs over the past two years. We are now looking for a passionate, experienced educator and manager for the role of Environmental Sustainability Education Coordinator.
As a family-friendly workplace this position is available from 0.6 to fulltime to make sure we get the right person. Job share applications will also be considered.
Based at our Moorabbin office, this position will be responsible for all aspects of delivery and coordination, including face-to-face teaching at our Environmental Education Centre in Moorabbin, at off-site locations such as Rickett's Point Marine Sanctuary and in schools.
The Gould League offers environmental education programs to students from the Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Specialist Education sectors, as well as professional learning programs and community education, exploring themes including Waste, Biodiversity, Water, Energy and Marine.
Selection Criteria Essential:
- Tertiary education qualification or equivalent experience in education.
- Demonstrated experience or qualification in environmental or sustainability field.
- Delivery of education programs in early childhood, primary, secondary or specialist education.
- Project or program coordination including managing existing budget and reporting.
- Staff supervisory and training experience.
- Current driver’s licence and own vehicle.
Highly regarded:
Training, experience or high level knowledge of Victoria’s ResourceSmart AuSSI Vic Framework.

Sessional Environmental Educators
The Gould League recruits enthusiastic and dynamic Environmental Educators to join their team on a sessional basis to meet demand.
The Sessional Education Officer’s primary function is to ensure high quality delivery of our education sessions. This may include excursions to Moorabbin, Ricketts Point and other sites, incursions/outreach to schools, teacher professional development and multi-visit whole school programs. Responsibilities include: supporting the Education Coordinator with administration, assisting with maintenance of education resources, and some customer service.
