Downloading Data Sheets

You can download a spreadsheet of data collected from observations made by all the visitors to the website. Click on the Graphs button, then click on the download data button. You will be able to open the data or save it to your computer’s hard drive.

Analysing the Pie Graphs

  1. Open the page with your graph so it is the main window on your computer monitor
  2. Press the Alt and Print Screen buttons on your keyboard - this copies a picture of the graph window
  3. Open a new file in another application, such as Microsoft Word
  4. Press the Control (Ctrl) and V keys, or select Paste from the Edit menu, to paste your picture into the new document.
You can now print out your graph and analyse it. Use a protractor to measure the angle of each wedge in your pie graph. If your sleeping wedge measures 75 degrees, divide this by 360 and multiply by 100 to get a percentage. Repeat this for each of the behaviours.
